The needles are made of bearing steel and can be delivered in two versions: with a convex face and a flat face.
The convexity of the faces of the needles is made such that the needles can tilt without jamming between two planes spaced apart from each other. The forming needles are slightly tapered towards their ends with respect to the axis of the needle to prevent harmful edge stresses from forming.
Bearing needles are available in three accuracy classes, while in each group they are selected into dimensional groups, the tolerance of which depends on the accuracy class. Each group is packed separately and marked with the smallest and the largest deviation.
