Simmerings have an elastomer sealing lip pressed with radial force towards the shaft surface, in some versions there is a dust-proof lip protecting against dust and other solid impurities. Sealing rings have a wide variety of designs and are made of various materials to ensure their reliability in various operating conditions.
There are the following types of simmerings:
- Type A - base type
- Type AD - a type with an external cylindrical corrugated surface
- AE type
- Type AF - type with increased lateral compensation
- Type AH - type used at low rotational speeds
- Type AO - type used for overpressure up to 0.3MPa
- Type AOD - type with an external cylindrical corrugated surface and an additional sealing lip
- Type AOF - type with increased lateral compensation and additional sealing lip
- Type AOH - type used for overpressure up to 0.3MPa and low rotational speeds.
