High-temperature ball bearings are adapted to work at high temperatures of + 150 ° C, + 200 ° C and even + 350 ° C. Depending on the design and the temperatures at which they can operate, they are divided into 3 groups:
Medium-high temperature bearings - for operation at temperatures up to approx. 180 ° C
Medium-high temperature bearings (up to approx. 180 ° C) can have plastic gaskets or sheet gaskets that protect the bearing against chemical factors. The applied C3 lateral clearance ensures the possibility of efficient operation at high temperatures and with changes in the bearing volume. The grease is also well suited to high temperatures. These bearings allow to achieve high rotational speed at increased operating temperatures. They can have plastic gaskets or sheet gaskets, there is C3 lateral clearance and grease suitable for high temperatures, they allow to achieve high rotational speed at increased operating temperatures.
High-temperature bearings - for operation at temperatures up to approx. + 200 ° C
High-temperature bearings suitable for operation at temperatures up to approx. + 200 ° C. They can have gaskets made of plastic or pressed steel plates. A special heat treatment ensures their metallurgical stability at temperatures up to + 200 ° C. Increased C4 clearance compensates for material volume changes under the influence of temperature.
Very high temperature bearings - for operation at temperatures between + 200 ° C and + 350 ° C.
Very high-temperature bearings are adapted to work at temperatures between + 200 ° C and + 350 ° C, with low rotational speeds (below 50 rpm) and low load. They are characterized by a large lateral clearance which compensates for changes in the volume of the material under the influence of temperature, a special heat treatment ensuring metallurgical stability and a steel cage. These bearings are available in an open version or covered with plates.
